The short version — what CheqMate does and doesn’t do.

  • We do not collect or sell personal data.
  • We do not require account linking to use the app.
  • Your data lives on your devices and (optionally) your iCloud.
  • No third-party ads or tracking SDKs.
  • You control backups and exports.
  • Delete the app to remove local data; you can also clear iCloud storage.

What we store

CheqMate is designed for on-device privacy.

  • On your device: plan data (bills, pay schedules, paid status, settings).
  • iCloud (optional): if enabled, Apple stores a copy for your devices.
  • Notifications: scheduled locally with stable IDs; no remote payloads.
  • Backups/exports (optional): created locally and shared where you choose.

What we don’t collect

CheqMate does not send your financial data off-device.

  • No personal identity profiles.
  • No bank credentials or forced transaction ingestion.
  • No advertising identifiers, trackers, or third-party analytics SDKs.
  • No server-side storage of your plan by CheqMate.
  • System crash/diagnostic sharing remains your choice in iOS settings.

Your choices & control

You’re in charge of how your data is stored and shared.

  • Back up or export: use in-app backup/export (JSON). Files are local; share where you choose.
  • iCloud sync: manage in iOS Settings ▸ Apple ID ▸ iCloud ▸ Manage Storage.
  • Delete data: deleting the app removes local data on that device.
  • Notifications: manage in iOS Settings ▸ Notifications.
